football111With the football season just around the corner, many people may want to know where their favorite quarterback will stack up against other quarterbacks. I composed a list of all the projected 32 starting quarterbacks in the NFL and where they may stack up against their competition.

1. Aaron Rodgers –Green Bay Packers

This is his league now. Move over Tom Brady and Peyton Manning, it’s time for Rodgers to take over. Brady and Manning’s superior reign is over. Rodgers is clearly #1 right now

2. Tom Brady- New England Patriots

Even though he’s not number 1, he still will produce outstanding numbers until he retires, and still worthy of #2

3. Drew Brees- New Orleans Saints

The man is good, and you can’t deny it. A big year is ahead of him, especially because he is getting head-coach Sean Payton back.

4. Peyton Manning- Denver Broncos

Neck surgery is behind him. He is still a top 5 QB and deservedly so. Like Brady, expect big numbers until he retires

5. Matt Ryan- Atlanta Falcons

He’s elite, and his numbers this upcoming year will show it. If he can ever figure out how to win in the playoffs, he will eventually challenge Aaron Rodgers for the #1 position

6. Andy Dalton- Cincinatti Bengals

Dalton will finally blossom next year and will produce substantial numbers and have a fantastic season. This may be a surprise to many, but Dalton is fantastic.(Refer to my “Bengals Fans Can Smile Big” article.) Watch out for a HUGE year next year.

7. Eli Manning- Giants

Year in and year out now Eli has great numbers. Expect that to continue, and maybe, just maybe, they make another run at a title.

8. Sam Bradford- Rams

This may seem a bit high to some, but look at this… Tavon Austin and Steadman Bailey were drafted. Along with Brian Quick, that gives Bradford 3 viable options on EVERY down to go to. Rams are going to be deadly the next few years, Bradford as well. He finally now has people to throw to.

9. Andrew Luck- Colts

The guy is great. Expect him to top his rookie campaign. Reggie Wayne is getting a bit old, which scares me, but get this guy a running game, and his numbers will improve

10. Matthew Stafford- Lions

He seems to always produce big numbers with a mediocre receiving core. He’ll do just the same next year.

11. Ben Roethlisberger- Pittsburgh Steelers

Last year was injury plagued. If all goes well and he is 100% healthy, expect a big season from Big Ben

12. Joe Flacco- Baltimore Ravens

Anybody who thinks he will replicate his numbers and success like he had last year is a complete moron. Losing many pieces to the team hurts. Expect a decent, but not great season from Flacco. The Ravens wasted a TON of money on Flacco

13. Robert Griffin III- Washington Redskins

If he can stay healthy and in the pocket, and not run like a fool, he should have a good solid year

14. Russell Wilson- Seattle Seahawks

The Seahawks have arguably one of the best receiving cores in the NFL, and Wilson will take advantage of that and have a nice season with good results for the Hawks, and duplicate, if not better their results from last year.

15. Matt Schaub- Houston Texans

The guy always has a good regular season, but a dismal post season. Expect that to continue. If he can ever figure it out in the playoffs, he could be phenomenal.

16. Colin Kaepernick- San Francisco 49ers

I don’t like the guy, or how cocky he is, or how he got to be a starter, but he is good. However, unless he stands in the pocket and quits running like a moron, his passing skills will never get great. I just don’t like the way he plays the game, and eventually, he will be the one on the end of the “losing your starting job because of a concussion.”

17. Jay Cutler- Chicago Bears

I like Cutler’s play style. He is a tough physical pocket passer, but runs when he has to, which is about all the time. Only reason I can’t rank him higher is because he never gets an opportunity to throw good passes because his offensive line is always one of the worst in the league.

18. Alex Smith- Kansas City Chiefs

Smith may not be able to replicate his performances in San Fran, but in the next few years, watch out for the Chiefs

19. Ryan Tannehill- Miami Dolphins

Tannehill is great. The Dolphins have found their franchise QB, and the best since Marino. He has Mike Wallace and Brian Hartline. Expect good results and a playoff birth, and the next 10 years to thrive under Tannehill

20. Tony Romo- Dallas Cowgirls

Eh. I really don’t have much to say on this topic, just seemed like the right spot for him.

21. Michael Vick- Eagles

Considering I am an Eagles fan…. I hate to rank him this low, but he can’t ever stay healthy. If he can stay healthy and fit in well to Chip Kelly’s new spread offense, he can be good.

22. Cam Newton- Panthers

Eh. He’s alright. Hasn’t been impressive since his rookie campaign. Everyone figured him out.

23. Philip Rivers- Chargers

He needs to prove himself. Three bad years in a row won’t cut it

24.Josh Freeman- Buccaneers

He needs to perform, or Mike Glennon takes over. Who knows what happens

25. Matt Flynn- Raiders

He needs to prove himself, just not sure he can with the Raiders

26. Jake Locker- Titans

Matt Hasselbeck is gone, so he is on his own. He’s gotta step up

27. Brandon Weeden- Browns

The Browns need to know if Weeden is their guy. They will find out this year

28. Carson Palmer- Cardinals

Washed-up QB on a bad team

29. Christian Ponder- Vikings

If handing off the ball was a sport, he would be the best. He has great weapons now. He needs to utilize them

30. Blaine Gabbert- Jags

Eh.

31. Mark Sanchez- Jets

Do I need to explain?

32. Kevin Kolb- Buffalo

Sucks. Only reason I have butt-fumble above him is because he had at least some highlights last season where he wasn’t just on the bench. Kolb is just awful. Expect EJ Manuel to take over midway through the season.
